The commencement and termination dates of the University’s employment contract must correspond with the authorized duration of the work permit (official document). Employment cannot be legally initiated until the work permit (official document) is approved and received.

Alien Resident Certificate: Submit an application through the National Immigration Agency, Ministry of the Interior. If you are unable to submit an application, you shall initially complete the “UI No. Basic Information Form” as a temporary solution. (Upon the subsequent application’s approval, submit a copy of the Alien Resident Certificate)

Application unit: Please submit the application form to a local service center of the National Immigration Agency, Ministry of the Interior.
1.現行大陸地區人民來臺從事專業交流採線上申請,相關登入資訊另與各一級單位或國際事務處確認。
An online application is presently required for people of the Mainland China Area who are traveling to Taiwan for professional exchanges. Login information shall be verified with the Office of International Affairs or the respective first-level units.

3.採線上申請者,其辦理期間約為線上資料登載完備日(無後續補件)起 7~14 個工作天,可於申請系統或移民署網站中查詢進度。
The processing period for online applications is approximately 7 to 14 working days from the date of complete online data submission (without the necessity of submitting additional documents). The Immigration Agency’s website or the application system can be used to monitor progress.
4.發證方式由線上系統下載入出境許可證電子檔,列印後持憑入境。為維護入出境許可證之列印品質,應使用最新版之PDF閱讀軟體讀取,並使用A4白色紙張以雷射印表機彩色滿版列印。
The Certificate of Entry and Exit is issued in the form of electronic file from the online system that shall be downloaded and printed out for entry. In order to preserve the integrity of the printed Certificate, it is recommended that the most recent version of PDF reader software be employed, and that the Certificate be printed in full color on A4 white paper using a laser printer.
5.應備文件須以彩色影像製成圖檔上傳線上系統,檔案大小須為512kb以內,格式為jpg或jpeg,檔案名稱請以該文件類型命名。
Required documents shall be uploaded to the online system as color images in file formats no larger than 512kb, either in jpg or jpeg format. The file name should reflect the type of document.
1.申請人在大陸地區者:由邀請單位代向移民署網站線上申辦。
For applicants in the Mainland China Area: The inviting unit shall apply online on their behalf through the Immigration Agency’s website.
2.申請人在第三地區者:申請人向我駐外使領館、代表處、辦事處或其他經政府授權機構申請,邀請單位另檢具所有應備文件,代向移民署網站線上申辦。
For applicants in other regions: Applicants shall apply through consulates, representative offices of the Republic of China, or other authorized government agencies abroad. The inviting unit is also required to compile all necessary documents and apply online on their behalf through the Immigration Agency’s website.
3.申請人在第三地區,但該地區無駐外館處者,得由邀請單位代向移民署網站線上申辦。

1.採線上辦理,請至勞動部勞動力發展署「外國專業人員工作許可申辦網」辦理申請。
For online processing, please apply via the “Work Permit for Foreign Professional Worker” managed by the Workforce Development Agency of the Ministry of Labor.
2.審核天數:若資料齊全,且雇主及外國人均符合所訂定的資格及條件,自勞動部系統收件次日起7個工作日,核發工作許可函。
Review period: If all required documents are submitted and both the employer and the foreign national satisfy the specified qualifications and conditions, a work permit shall be issued within 7 working days of the day the Ministry of Labor’s system receives the application.

The Personnel Department is responsible for the management of the application process for work permits for foreign full-time personnel participating in university projects. The project principal investigator or full-time assistant shall apply for online user authorization following steps below:
(1)須具備自然人憑證或健保卡,填具「授權申請表」及「切結書」,送人事室申請線上使用權限。
Applicants who possess an Aliens Citizen Digital Certificate or a National Health Insurance card shall complete the “Authorization Application Form” and the “System User Commitment Form” and submit them to the Personnel Department to apply for online access rights.
