Adjustments of “National Taiwan University Postdoctoral Researcher Pay Scale Table” and “National Taiwan University Project Full-time Research Assistant Pay Scale Reference Table”, effective from January 1, 2024 and the instructions for Pay Adjustment in 2024 for Industry-Academia Collaboration Project Employees.

  1. The handling is in accordance with the Presidential Decree No. 11300001971 issued on January 8, 2024, the Executive Yuan Letter No. 11300000011 dated January 4, 2024, the contents of the announcement on the website of the Directorate-General of Personnel Administration of the Executive Yuan, and the announcement No. 1120118402 issued by the Office of Research and Development of NTU on December 15, 2023.

  2. In accordance with the Executive Yuan's adjustment to the salaries of military personnel, civil servants, and public school teachers in 2024, this adjustment of the pay scale and reference tables shall take effect on January 1, 2024. Project investigators who wish to adjust the pay for full-time researchers under their projects according to the adjustment of pay scale and reference tables shall consider the project budget and fill out the form “Application for Pay Adjustment by 4% in 2024 for Industry-Academia Collaboration Project Employees,” stamp and submit it to the Integrated Affairs Division of the Personnel Department (for those in the College of Medicine and College of Public Health, please submit it to the Research and Development Division). Project investigators may adjust within the 4% limit of the base salary and remuneration for employees. However, if the sponsoring agency (institution) has specific regulations, those regulations shall be followed.

  3. Postdoctoral researchers appointed under the Higher Education SPROUT Project - Employee Structure Improvement Project approved by the Office of Research and Development (funding code: L4000) may follow the same procedures. For the project allocations by the Office of Research and Development (funding codes: L1, 7, 8, 9), the project investigators shall consider the budget when making pay adjustments. Adjustment of postdoctoral researchers hired with subsidies from the National Science and Technology Council shall be notified separately.

  4. The insurance premium level for labor and health insurance shall be adjusted in accordance with the regulations starting from the 1st day of the month after the submission of the signed application to the Personnel Department. If there is any differential pay in the month before the insurance premium level adjustment, the employing unit shall handle accounting operations following the regulations at NTU Accounting System / Income Reporting / Various Payment.
